ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Carry out consultations via video calls with pet owners and their pets.
Evaluate medical history, treatment concerns, and other relevant data.
Give clear recommendations, treatment plans, and written post-op instructions to owners or provide a referral to one of our brick-and-mortar clinics.
Provide follow-up of cases through careful record-keeping and written feedback to clients.
Maintain all medical records in accordance with AZ Veterinary Medical Examining Board standards.
Work cooperatively withleadershipto achieve clinic goals.
Attend seminars to satisfy continuingeducationrequirements for Arizona D.V.M. license renewal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctor of Veterinary MedicineORVeterinary Medical Doctor Degree and licensed to practice in Arizona.
Two years of experience in veterinary practice with an emphasis on quality medicine. Experience in community or shelter medicine is a plus, but not required.
Must provide excellent customer service and maintain apositive attitudefor both internal colleagues and external customers.
Excellentcommunication skills.
Language Skills:Able to speak, read and write English;
Spanish language helpful.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to perform basic mathematical skills.
Computer Skills:Proficiency with Daysmart, Zoom, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Explorer; able to learn other software programs as necessary. Experience with other practice management software helpful.
Other Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:Regular attendance is required. Access to reliable transportation.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold and temperature changes; occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors and dander. Most time will be spent in a typical air-conditioned and heated office environment.
