Description
The Preserve at Eisenhower is in search of an experienced spray technician for its 18-hole course in Crownsville, MD. The desired candidate would be someone who enjoys working outdoors, is a team player, self-motivated and appreciates the value of hard work.
Duties include but are not limited to mixing, preparing, and applying chemical solutions (insecticides, herbicides, fungicides). The candidate will also keep up with pesticide and fertilizer inventory as well as maintaining records of pesticide and fertilizer applications.
Compensation: $18 – $19 / hour
Special Requirements:
Willing to attend continuing education seminars and classes
Have no problems wearing spray applicator suits, full face respirators, or chemical resistant apparel
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Willing to learn
Detail oriented
Keep area neat and organized
Job Responsibilities:
Apply fertilizer and chemical applications
Update spray records, inventory, and MSDS sheets
Calibrate spray equipment and fertilizer spreaders
General upkeep and maintenance on spray equipment
Over time, be able to start diagnosing pest and fungus issues
