Sumec Energy is expanding its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team for Mumbwa 100MW Solar Plant. We are looking for a motivated and skilled Power Plant Operator(REE) to conduct efficient, safe, and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
-Monitor and operate the SCADA system for real-time plant performance
-Detect and respond to system alarms, faults, and abnormalities
-Conduct routine inspections of the PV farm, inverter stations, and weather monitoring systems
-Prepare Daily Generation Reports and manage IEMOP nominations
-Handle ERC outage and resumption reports
-Perform technical documentation and support overall O&M activities
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
-Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE)
-At least 2 years of relevant experience (solar or power plant experience is an advantage)
-Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Good communication and reporting skills
-Applicants near Mumbwa, Central province are highly preferred
