Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Duties:
– Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and examinations
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations
– Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
– Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
– Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
– Maintain accurate medical records for each patient
– Clean and maintain equipment, exam rooms, and kennels
– Provide compassionate care to animals and their owners
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
– Certification as a Veterinary Technician is a plus
– Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician is highly desirable
– Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
– Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
– Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
– Ability to operate X-ray machines
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members
