centers. Worldwide Zoo Consultants is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Small Animal Keeper with a specialization in reptiles and fish. As a Small Animal Keeper, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice, reporting anomalies, and maintaining high standards of animal care.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert care and husbandry for animals, ensuring their well-being and health. Maintain clean and safe enclosures, including tanks and terrariums. Maintain accurate records for all animals under your care. Offer exceptional customer service by providing information and guidance to clients on reptile and fish care, habitat setup, handling of animals, and product selection. Monitor life support systems maintaining reptile and fish habitats, including providing guidance on filtration systems, decorative elements, plantings, lighting, and heating.
Regularly clean animal enclosures, tanks, and display areas. Replace substrate, water, and decor as necessary. Ensure that the animal areas and environments are clean, organized, and free of hazards. Monitor and perform routine maintenance on equipment for reptile and fish habitats, including filtration systems, lighting, and heating. Possess knowledge of small animals, reptile and fish species, their care requirements, and common health issues.

Qualifications:
Previous experience working with small animals, preferably with a focus on reptiles and fish. Strong knowledge of small animal, reptile, and fish care, including habitat requirements and nutritional needs. Exceptional
attention to detail
and
communication skills
. Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and passion with others. Ability to lift and carry items, including bags of pet food and aquarium equipment. Dedication to the welfare and well-being of animals in your care.
