The Skills Facilitator will be responsible to deliver high quality, QCTO aligned skills programmes and qualifications, and provide comprehensive learner support to ensure successful programme completion and assessment readiness.

Requirements
Learner Enrolment and Onboarding
1. Collect and verify compliance documents.
2. Facilitate Learner Agreements
3. Confirm registration capturing.
4. Conduct entry level diagnostic assessments.
5. Deliver institution orientation programme.
6. Communicate the code of conduct.
7. Explain the curriculum journey.
8. Conduct Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) workshops.
Facilitation and Learning Delivery
1. Deliver interactive, standards aligned training across designated sites of curriculum delivery.
2. Present curriculum content accurately, and in line with QCTO competency based requirements.
3. Monitor learner participation, progress, and assessment readiness.
4. Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages active learner engagement.
Learner Support
1. Facilitation of recruitment and onboarding of new students.
2. Provide continuous coaching, mentoring, and guidance to learners.
3. Address learner queries promptly and assist with barriers to learning.
4. Track learner performance and give structured feedback to improve learner performance outcomes.
Assessment Quality Assurance
- Ensure delivery consistency and adherence to programme and QCTO standards.
- Apply best practices for assessment preparation.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment readiness.
- Adhere to assessment moderation and verification processes as set out by the Provincial Office.
Reporting and Administration
1. Submit learner progress reports and programme documentation on time.
2. Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational record keeping requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify performance gaps and propose relevant learning interventions.
- Participate in facilitator development initiatives and curriculum reviews.
Learner Retention and Completion
1. Support learners to remain engaged and complete programmes successfully.
2. Contribute to maintaining high retention, completion, and learner engagement rates.
2. Flag students in crisis to the Regional Curriculum Monitoring and Oversight team.
Qualification
- Degree in Education, Humanities, PGCE, or a related qualification.
Experience
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in foundational training, facilitation or relevant industry experience
• Experience in Education, Training and Development Practices (ETDP) within a skills development, TVET, higher education, or training environment.
• Experience facilitating accredited learning programmes, learnerships, skills programmes, or occupational qualifications.
• Experience working within QCTO, SETA, SAQA, or other quality assurance frameworks.
• Ability to engage diverse learner groups and deliver content using adult education principles
• Understanding of QCTO frameworks, competency-based learning, and programme outcomes
• Knowledge of formative and summative assessment processes, evidence standards, and readiness indicators
• Ability to motivate, mentor, and guide learners through academic and personal challenges
• Skilled at maintaining discipline, promoting participation, and managing group dynamics
• High attention to detail in managing attendance, progress tracking, and documentation compliance.
• Experience in liaising with various stakeholders
• Working knowledge of E-Learning Programmes and a Learning Management System
• Experience in private or public institutions or TVET Colleges
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Package (Ms Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and digital communication tools
• Valid driver’s license
