Role Overview:
This role is responsible for leading strategic guidance and overseeing the functional direction to establish an overall safety culture in the organization. Primarily focus on risk management across the value chain through extensive safety consultancy support and establish standard operating procedures to enforce control.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure company conformity with OHS standards to establish a sustainable business approach by maintaining OHS compliance.
Lead the Implementation and review of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) process, along with establishment of precise safety controls.
Analyze the occupational risk involved in work and provide recommendation on mitigation plan to ensure optimum safety standards.
Assist line function in the identification of gaps and provide consultation to mitigate risk and reduce lost time injury.
Follow-up on incidents/accidents and conduct investigations to identify the root cause.
Competency and awareness building of high-risk functions.
Conduct safety awareness campaigns to promote safe work practice.
Involve line functions to carry-out audit/inspection to generate sustainable ownership and attitude towards safety.
Find out the gaps, non-conformities & improvement areas and communicate on audit/inspection report.
Ensure safety in work process by developing and reviewing safety related operational procedures & guidelines to align with the standards.
Prepare guidelines and SOPs as per needs in co-ordination with concerned departments.
Act as a SPoC for central safety committee by keeping close coordination with regional safety committee.
Generate reports on regular day-to-day operational activities and ongoing projects and prepare management reports on safety as per requirement.
Education & Experiences:
Graduation/post-graduation from renowned University in any discipline, Preferably STEM.
Minimum 6-8 years of professional experiences, including 4 years working as Occupational Safety Officer/Manager
Professional training on Occupational Health & Safety is preferred (NEBOSHÂ & ISO 45001)
