About our Client:
Our client is a leading beverage company specializing in the production and distribution of bottled water, soft drinks, juices, and energy drinks, serving customers across the country. They are seeking for experienced and technically skilled Senior Mechanics to oversee the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of its light commercial vehicle fleet with strong experience in workshop management and hands-on maintenance of light trucks.
Job Description:
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day workshop activities and maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain light trucks ranging from 3.5 to 10 tons.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on delivery trucks.
- Maintain and service refrigerated trucks and their associated systems.
- Plan and monitor vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure all vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and available for operations.
- Maintain accurate workshop records, maintenance reports, and service histories.
- Monitor the use of workshop tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Identify recurring mechanical problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in truck maintenance and workshop operations.
- Proven experience working with light trucks between 3.5 and 10 tons.
- Experience with delivery trucks is highly desirable.
- Experience servicing and maintaining refrigerated trucks will be an added advantage.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Previous experience supervising mechanics or managing workshop activities.
- A valid driving license is an added advantage.
