We are seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team! Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with a wide range of medical procedures including anesthesia administration, radiology diagnostics, and surgical assistance.
- Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence across various species, including dogs, cats, and equines.
- Conduct laboratory work such as phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, and sample processing using veterinary software systems.
- Monitor critical and intensive care patients, managing medications, IV insertions, vascular access, and aseptic techniques.
- Operate medical equipment including X-ray machines, anesthesia monitors, and radiology equipment to ensure accurate diagnostics.
- Maintain detailed patient records, update medical charts, and communicate effectively with clients about pet care plans.
- Support animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, cleaning kennels, and ensuring overall animal comfort and safety.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and surgical assisting techniques.
- Skilled in animal restraint methods for safe handling of dogs and cats.
- Proficient in laboratory work including phlebotomy and diagnostic radiology; familiarity with veterinary software is essential.
- Excellent client communication skills to educate pet owners on health care needs and treatment plans.
- Surgical assisting, anesthesia monitoring and dental prophylaxis and radiology preferred.
- Knowledge of Fear Free practices highly desired.

Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour
