Are you a cleaning machine who finds joy in a spotless space? Dakin Humane Society is looking for a seasonal Kennel Attendant to join our team of behind-the-scenes heroes who keep the shelter clean, healthy, and running like a well-oiled (but very sanitary) machine.
Important Note: This role is focused on cleaning and sanitation to help us get through our busiest months. You’ll be helping animals by creating a healthy environment for them, not by interacting with them directly (for the most part).
You’ll spend your days cleaning, lifting, sweating, and scrubbing. You won’t be playing with dogs all day, but you’ll be a vital part of the team that makes their care possible.
You’ll be doing things like:
Cleaning kennels, floors, walls, dishes, and anything else that gets messy (so, everything)
Taking out trash, folding laundry, and powering through hot days
Some direct animal care (mostly cats/kittens), but mainly cleaning and support

Seasonal schedule: Mid June through Mid October, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Pay: $17.00/hour
