Run the Bursar’s office for one of Uganda’s most-watched boarding schools. The Bursar leads the fees-collection cycle, payroll, supplier payments and termly board financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage termly fees-collection cycle from invoicing through reconciliation.
- Process payroll for 180 teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Coordinate with SchoolPay, Mobile Money and bank-wire treasury operations.
- Prepare termly management accounts for the Board of Governors and the Annual Founders’ Day report.
- Lead the annual external audit liaison.
Requirements
- ACCA, CPA(U) or equivalent professional accountancy qualification.
- Five+ years finance leadership in an education or large-NGO setting.
- Experience with SchoolPay or comparable fees-collection software.
- Working knowledge of Ugandan PAYE, NSSF and local council tax obligations.
