Job Title: Salesman – Animal Health Products (Feed Additives and Disinfectants)

Job Purpose:

To achieve sales and collection targets for animal health products, specifically feed additives and disinfectants, by developing strong customer relationships, ensuring consistent market presence, and providing technical product support, while contributing to business growth and reinforcing DHV’s position as a trusted supplier in alignment with Tanmiah Food Company’s strategic objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales, margin, and collection targets for assigned territories and product lines, in accordance with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Execute approved sales plans and promotional activities to grow market share and product penetration.
  • Identify new business opportunities with poultry farms, integrators, and veterinary customers.
  • Ensure optimal product mix and pricing discipline in line with company guidelines.
  • Promote the full portfolio of products, utilizing cross-selling and up-selling strategies based on customer needs and technical suitability.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of marketing campaigns, product launches, and field events within the territory.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with veterinarians, farm owners, and key decision-makers, upholding professionalism and transparency in every interaction.
  • Conduct regular farm and clinic visits to understand customer challenges and provide tailored technical and commercial solutions.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for product information, pricing, order management, delivery coordination, and after-sales service.
  • Address complaints and service issues promptly, collaborating with Supply Chain and Technical teams to ensure complete resolution.
  • Provide timely and actionable market feedback to management regarding customer trends, competitor activities, and product performance.

Technical Product Support

  • Provide technical guidance on the correct use, dosage, and application of feed additives and disinfectants.
  • Support customers in improving farm hygiene, biosecurity, and production performance.
  • Deliver product presentations and on-farm demonstrations in coordination with technical teams.
  • Act as a technical reference for customers on product benefits and performance.
  • Collaborate with Technical and Marketing teams to ensure accurate, up-to-date, and compliant communication of product benefits and applications.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback within the territory.
  • Collect and report accurate sales data, forecasts, and market insights to management.
  • Identify risks and opportunities affecting product demand and customer performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records and visit reports using approved systems.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements for veterinary products.
  • Promote responsible use of animal health products in line with safety and quality standards.
  • Adhere to storage, handling, and product safety procedures.
  • Support pharmacovigilance and product quality reporting processes as required.

Collaboration & Business Development

  • Work closely with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure product availability and timely collections.
  • Participate in marketing campaigns, field trials, and customer education programs.
  • Support product launches and special projects as assigned by management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sales practices and customer service standards.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Academic Qualification:

  • Diploma Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Poultry Science, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Poultry Science, or a related field would be desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–5 years of sales experience in animal health products, feed additives, disinfectants, or agricultural inputs.
  • Proven experience dealing with farms, integrators, distributors, or veterinary customers.
  • Experience in the Saudi or GCC market is preferred.

Professional Qualification:

  • Formal training or certification from a regional or international recognized body in animal health products, veterinary pharmaceuticals, or poultry production is preferred.

Work Environment

Field-Based & Travel Requirements

  • Field-based role with frequent visits to farms, distributors, and customer sites.
  • Requires regular travel within the assigned territory and occasional travel outside the region as required.
  • Work is performed across farms, warehouses, offices, and customer locations.

Internal Interactions

  • Works closely with the Sales Manager to align on targets, territory plans, and performance tracking.
  • Coordinates with Technical, nutrition, and quality assurance teams to provide customer support and resolve product-related issues.
  • Liaises with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure product availability, order fulfillment, and collections.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Product teams on promotions, product launches, and customer education activities.

External Interactions

  • Regular interaction with farm owners, managers, and veterinarians to promote and support vaccine and medication products.
  • Engages with distributors, dealers, and key accounts to manage orders, contracts, and market coverage.
  • Maintains professional relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders when required.

Represents the company at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings as assigned.
