Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The RVT will play a key role in assisting with advanced surgical procedures, providing pre-operative and post-operative care, maintaining the mobile surgical facility, and supporting client education. Key responsibilities also include monitoring anesthesia, maintaining a sterile surgical environment, and handling administrative tasks related to patient care.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in surgical preparation, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting with advanced veterinary procedures.
- Ability to provide compassionate post-operative care and educate clients on post-surgical recovery.
- Experience with maintaining sterile fields, equipment sterilization, and overall clinic/hospital cleanliness.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage patient records and administrative workflows.
- Effective communication skills with clients, veterinarians, and team members.
- Current RVT certification in California.
- Ability to work in a mobile setting and adapt to various on-site environments.
- Prior experience with advanced veterinary surgical procedures and mobile veterinary practices is a plus.
