RVT, Neurology Full-time Contract position

The Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.E.) Centre, a member of VCA Canada, is currently seeking a full-time Maternity Leave Neurology Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our busy service.
The C.A.R.E. Centre is a fully functioning referral hospital with board-certified specialists in a wide range of referral services including: internal medicine, critical care, surgery, radiology, oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, emergency, and dentistry/oral surgery. The centre is committed to supporting pet owners and the veterinary community by providing the highest level of animal emergency and referral care.
The successful candidate will:
Possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate compassion for clients and their pets.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Be able to work efficiently independently and as part of a team.
Have experience with anesthesia, including ventilator use, which is performed almost daily.
Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Client communication, scheduling consultations, rechecks, and procedures.
Starting appointments and relaying lab results to clients.
Taking radiographs, MRI scans, and collecting/submitting blood and lab samples.
Maintaining accurate and timely patient records.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with additional after-hours anesthesia duties. Applicants must be registered AHTs and eligible for registration with AAAHT in Alberta.
