Role Description

The Resource Mobilization & Fundraising Lead is a Remote role. Responsible for securing financial and strategic resources to support KiloMeat’s growth. This role involves identifying and researching funding opportunities, including investors, grants, development programs, and partnerships relevant to food retail and agribusiness. The Lead will develop compelling proposals, pitch decks, and business cases, and manage fundraising campaigns and investor relations. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining a pipeline of prospects, tracking fundraising performance, coordinating with operations and finance to align resource needs, and preparing regular reports for leadership. The role also includes building and nurturing relationships with stakeholders, organizing presentations and site visits, and supporting capacity-building initiatives that strengthen KiloMeat’s funding readiness.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to assess funding opportunities, evaluate financial data, and track fundraising performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear writing and confident presentation abilities for proposals, pitch decks, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Customer service and stakeholder relationship skills to engage investors, partners, and community stakeholders professionally and respectfully.
  • Resource management skills to prioritize initiatives, allocate time and budgets effectively, and coordinate internal inputs for fundraising activities.
  • Training and capacity-building skills to support team members in understanding fundraising processes and investor expectations.
  • Experience in fundraising, business development, or investment relations, preferably in retail, FMCG, agribusiness, or related sectors.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and presentation tools (e.g., Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides) for financial models and pitch materials.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work Remotely, with high reliability, integrity, and a commitment to KiloMeat’s customer-focused values.
