- Monitor and coordinate Abaleya vehicles and drivers on a daily basis.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicles, drivers, assignments, and fleet activities.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles meet Abaleya’s operational standards.
- Monitor vehicle servicing, maintenance, insurance, road tax, and other compliance requirements.
- Coordinate vehicle repairs and follow up with mechanics and service providers.
- Monitor driver attendance, performance, conduct, and compliance with company policies.
- Track vehicle utilization, mileage, fuel consumption, and general fleet performance.
- Identify and report vehicle faults, accidents, breakdowns, and other operational issues.
- Assist with driver onboarding, vehicle onboarding, and fleet documentation.
- Prepare daily and weekly fleet performance reports.
- Work closely with the Operations and Customer Service teams to resolve fleet-related issues.
- Conduct periodic field checks to verify vehicles and drivers.
- Ensure company vehicles and assigned assets are properly maintained and accounted for.
Requirements
- Must have a Grade 12 Certificate.
- A diploma or degree in Fleet Management, Transport & Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in fleet, transport, logistics, or vehicle operations is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical issues.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use mobile applications.
- Ability to use WhatsApp, email, spreadsheets, and other digital tools.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve operational problems.
- Must be willing to conduct field inspections and travel when required.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence.
- Must be based in Lusaka.
