Role Description The Reporter is a full-time, on-site role based in Lahore. This position involves researching and gathering information, conducting interviews, and producing accurate, timely news content across print and digital formats. The Reporter will cover assigned beats, attend events, verify facts, and collaborate with editors to refine stories. Daily responsibilities include writing news articles, creating multimedia elements when needed, and maintaining strong professional relationships with sources. The role requires adherence to editorial guidelines, ethical reporting standards, and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Reporting and News Writing skills to produce clear, factual, and engaging stories.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Writing skills for interviews, source management, and polished copy.
- Candidates should possess basic Multimedia skills to support digital storytelling, including images, audio, or video.
- Strong command of English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Lahore, manage deadlines, and handle fast-paced news environments.
- Familiarity with journalistic ethics, fact-checking, and verification practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior reporting or newsroom experience, internships, or freelance work are beneficial.
