Vet Positive, a small, privately owned veterinary consulting company based out of Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced and meticulous Veterinary Bookkeeper to assist with the expanding needs of our growing company.
As a bookkeeper with the VP team, you will be responsible for several practice financials. Your day to day will include:
- Recording all financial transactions, including cash payments, into correct general ledger
- Verifying all accounts and entries are accurate
- Reconciling banks and other various accounts
- Responsible for maintaining all financial records
- Completing basic tax forms
- Processing company payroll
- Generating regular reports for upper management.
The ideal candidate will possess previous experience as a professional bookkeeper managing large bank accounts. Experience in the veterinary field and as a bookkeeper is REQUIRED. Additionally, candidates should possess:
- 3+ years of veterinary experience – Required
- 1+ years of bookkeeping experience – Required
- 1+ years of QuickBooks Online experience
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of payroll principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassionate and empathetic team player
