NOCO Humane is looking for a Relief Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in Evans, CO on a contract/freelance basis. Step in when we need you most – during staff shortages or high demand – and help us deliver lifesaving care to animals in need.
1099 Independent Contractor – Hourly. Starting at $27/hour. Closes when filled.

What You’ll Do:
Support surgical procedures (induction, intubation, monitoring, recovery)
Perform dental cleanings, radiographs, and assist in procedures
Administer meds, conduct diagnostic testing, and support triage
Keep accurate medical records in our animal shelter software
Provide compassionate care – from intake exams to minor procedures
Occasionally perform euthanasia when necessary
Communicate and collaborate with our veterinary and clinic teams
What You Bring:
Current Colorado RVT or provisional license
1–2 years of hands-on veterinary experience (relief/emergency a plus)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Deep compassion and commitment to animal welfare
