Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Associate to join our team. This role involves working closely with veterinarians and other staff to ensure the health and well-being of our animal patients.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in performing examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
Administer vaccinations and medications as directed by the veterinarian.
Perform animal catheterization and assist with dental procedures.
Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
Prepare animals for X-rays and other diagnostic imaging.
Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary terminology.
Provide pet grooming services as needed.
Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and training techniques.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for both animals and staff.
Requirements
Proven experience in veterinary practice or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and care practices.
Skills in animal catheterization, dog training, pet grooming, and laboratory procedures are highly desirable.
Ability to perform basic X-ray procedures and understand dental terminology.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Minimum 2 years experience
