Are you ready to take on strategic leadership? Our client is one of the largest players in their field. As they continue their journey of transformation and growth, they are seeking a RA Manager to strengthen the compliance and biosecurity operations across the country.

The role is Bucharest based with ~ 40% travelling expected to operational sites across Romania. The role reports to the General Manager of the company and manages a team of 5.

Role Overview:

The RA Manager will lead regulatory affairs, permitting, and external relations – particularly focused on biosecurity. You will oversee legal compliance across multiple operational sites and collaborate closely with veterinary, environmental, and governmental authorities to ensure operational continuity and long-term risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Biosecurity & Prevention

Develop and enforce robust biosecurity policies and protocols.

Lead risk mitigation initiatives and conduct on-site audits.

Implement training and awareness programs to maintain high internal standards.

2. Regulatory Compliance & Permitting

Ensure full legal compliance across all operational, environmental, and sanitary domains.

Oversee permitting processes to prevent operational disruptions.

Monitor and anticipate regulatory changes, providing strategic guidance to leadership.

3. Institutional & Stakeholder Relations

Cultivate strong relationships with veterinary authorities, environmental agencies, local administrations, and community stakeholders.

Represent the organization in regulatory and industry forums.

Support long-term collaboration with public institutions and local communities.

4. Legal Oversight

Manage legal matters in cooperation with internal and external legal counsel.

Ensure contracts and procedures meet Romanian and EU legal standards.

Advise leadership on legal risks and strategic decisions.

5. Department Leadership & Process Optimization

Build and lead a high-performing compliance team.

Improve workflows and documentation processes.

Foster a culture of compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: At least 7 years in regulatory affairs, veterinary public health, or environmental compliance.

Education: Degree in Veterinary Medicine / Environmental Science / Public Administration / Law.

Expertise: Deep knowledge of Romanian and EU regulations.

Skills: Strong analytical and crisis management capabilities.

Mobility: Willingness to travel to operational sites across Romania.

Language: Fluency in English (spoken and written).
