Mission:
To compassionately provide care for pets and their owners by utilizing innovative healthcare modalities that produce results.
Responsibilities:
– Assist Veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
– Take X-rays
– Collect laboratory samples and perform laboratory tests/analyze results
– Provide nursing care to postoperative and outpatient animals
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
Skills:
– Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior
– Assist with medical procedures and administering medications
– Ability to operate veterinary equipment such as X-ray machines and laboratory instruments
– Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary team members- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals
-Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with veterinarians and other staff members
– Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
-Restraint of the aggressive and non-aggressive patient using appropriate safety equipment
Pay:
Starting $18 per hour-more based on experience and training
