Baywood Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience to join our dedicated team. As an AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care while fostering a supportive and collaborative workplace.
What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians with medical appointments, surgery, and dentistry.
- Perform anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery.
- Collect and process laboratory samples.
- Take and interpret diagnostic radiographs.
- Administer medications and treatments.
- Educate clients on preventative care, nutrition, and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and uphold high standards of patient care.
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians and support staff in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a companion animal practice.
- Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance skills.
- Excellent communication and client service abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a team environment.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for animal care.
