Job Overview
VCA Coast Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time,
Dentistry and Surgery experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
Compensation & Benefits
Sign-On Bonus: $2500 – half paid after 90 days, the remaining half after 1 year.
Hourly Rate: $32 – $37 per hour, based on credentials and experience.

Schedule & Location
Schedule: Monday – Friday, occasional Saturdays, 5 × 8-hour shifts.
Location: 1560 CA‑1, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 – beachside, fast‑paced facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Radiology
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Physical examinations and patient assessment
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Dentistry (including extractions)
- Laboratory work
- Pharmacy
- Patient recovery
- Compassionate care for hospitalized patients
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Documented experience in an animal hospital
- Current RVT license
- Surgery and dentistry experience, including dental extractions
- Flexibility in hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Customer service skills (phone proficiency)
- Working knowledge of computers
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
- Positive attitude, willingness to teach and train, open mindedness, ability to accept feedback, desire to continue learning, growing, and developing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
