We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to assist our veterinarians in providing high-quality care to animals. Performing medical procedures, handle diagnostics, and ensure the well-being of patients in the Defiance community
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Monitor and care for animals before, during, and after medical procedures.
Surgical Assistance: Prepare surgical equipment, assist in procedures, and ensure proper sterilization.
Diagnostics & Lab Work: Collect and analyze blood, urine, and tissue samples; perform lab tests.
Anesthesia & Medication Administration: Safely administer and monitor anesthesia and medications as directed by the veterinarian.
Radiology & Imaging: Take X-rays and other diagnostic images.
Client Communication: Educate pet owners on proper care, treatment plans, and post-surgical instructions.
Emergency & Critical Care: Assist in stabilizing and treating animals in emergency situations.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, treatment logs, and medication histories.
Skills & Qualifications:
✅ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program
✅ Licensed or certified as an RVT by the State of Ohio
✅ Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical procedures
✅ Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ Detail-oriented and capable of working in fast-paced environments
