Saint Francis Animal Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!
Our technicians are crucial in delivering exceptional patient care by taking Technician appointments, assisting with surgery, coordinating and executing treatment plans, and providing thorough client education. Additionally, you will coordinate with your team to manage the veterinarian’s orders, ensuring the highest level of patient care and maintaining an efficient workflow to keep exams running on schedule.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive pay: $20-$24/hour (based on experience)
Bonus package: $2,000
CE allowance: $500 the first year and $1,000 thereafter

Required qualifications and skillset:
Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of South Carolina
1-3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Proficiency in the following skills:
Surgical assistance including induction, monitoring, and post-op recovery
Dental prophylaxis and radiographs
Blood draws and IVC placement
Microscopic evaluation
Outpatient procedures
Providing the care our community deserves:
Our hospital has a balanced mix of surgery and internal medicine cases, and we are known in the area for taking on more difficult dental cases. Between our 4 DVMs, we have about 100 years of experience in the field! Our doctors are well-supported with 2 technicians each; in the exam room, we use one technician as a medical scribe and the other as an assistant. We have a new handheld ultrasound unit (the Clarius ultrasound) to help our diagnostic abilities on site. We have strong relationships with our local referral facilities (within 1-3 hours away) and clientele that will choose to pursue advanced diagnostics at these facilities. SFAH is paper lite and uses Avimark for PIMS and Idexx for reference/in-house/telemedicine. We exclusively see small animals and are located on the north end of the Grand Strand in a picturesque fishing town, about 20 miles north of Myrtle Beach. Our team works hard but we also like to have fun, and we have been known to enjoy a karaoke session from time to time!
