Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their talented and friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity for an RVN looking to expand their clinical experience in a supportive and well-utilised nursing environment.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week with a 1:7 Saturday morning rota. Candidates can choose between working 1:13 full weekends or 1:8 weeks of nights. The role requires working across multiple sites within reasonable travel.
Role Description
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied caseload due to the practice’s wide range of internal expertise, encountering minimal need for external referrals. Full nurse utilisation is a key priority, ensuring that RVNs are involved in consultations, Schedule 3 procedures, and advanced nursing techniques. The role is ideal for a self-motivated nurse looking to expand their skills in areas such as anaesthesia, ECC, and behaviour, with full support from experienced colleagues and Patient Care Assistants.
Team Size
This practice operates with a multi-site team including certificate holders in surgery, imaging, and medicine, alongside a well-established nursing team.

Avonvale Veterinary Centres are a group of seven Primary Care practices located across Warwickshire. The practices benefit from a supportive team culture, opportunities for professional growth, and a welcoming social environment. The group is based in a beautiful area offering easy access to historic towns, countryside, and excellent transport links to Birmingham and London.
