Duties
Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
Perform surgical procedures (optional – mentorship provided) as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of the animal.
Administer vaccinations and medications according to established protocols.
Provide emergency and critical care for animals in need
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting treatments and outcomes.
Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education and training.
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid veterinary license in the state of practice.
Familiarity with veterinary critical care protocols is a plus.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Compassionate approach to animal care with a strong commitment to ethical practices.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
