Job requirements
Demonstrable experience as a veterinary nurse.
Nurse consulting experience.
GA monitoring experience
Well-honed surgical etiquette and quarantining procedures
Veterinary Nursing Degree or equivalent
Team player
Great communication skills.
Initiative and ability to work independentlyÂ
Practice Management system experience
Job responsibilities
Main purpose & goals
Clinical Excellence
Understand and implement all clinical practice protocols.
Ensure the highest standards of clinical nursing care to our patients
Ensure all relevant new communications and protocols are understood and followed.
Participate in the nurse consult rota as necessary and help in the delivery of this valuable service.
Key responsibilities
Conducting screening procedures, including auscultation and sample procurement.
General anaesthetic monitoring and record keeping
 Recording accurate and comprehensive clinical notes
Administering treatments, as directed.
Disinfecting surgical rooms, medical equipment and maintaining the cleanliness of clinical workspaces to a high standard
Aiding veterinarians during invasive and non-invasive procedures and protocols.
Tending to unsettled animals with urgency
 Monitoring and maintaining stock levels
Boosting pet owners’ knowledge about routine and specialised caring procedures.
Although you will be mainly based at one site, you may be required to cover shifts at other sites as necessary.
