We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at The Vets’ Place, Wilmslow on a full-time basis. Part-time hours will also be considered, and we are open to applications from second year Student Veterinary Nurses.
The Vets’ Place is a friendly, first-opinion small animal practice located in the beautiful town of Wilmslow, offering the perfect balance of countryside charm and easy access to Manchester. Our practice is committed to delivering high standards of veterinary care within a supportive and collaborative environment.
You’ll be joining a passionate and experienced team, including six Veterinary Surgeons and a dedicated nursing team of six RVNs with interests across behaviour, feline medicine, consulting, wound management, nutrition, and anaesthesia. We also work alongside visiting surgical and imaging specialists, giving you exposure to a broader and more varied caseload.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
This is a varied role where you will be involved in both medical and surgical nursing, as well as nurse-led consultations. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload and develop your clinical skills alongside experienced colleagues and visiting specialists.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, with part-time and flexible 4-day week options considered. Shifts alternate weekly between 7:45am-4:15pm and 10:00am-6:30pm. There is a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota (8:30am-12:30pm), with time off in lieu provided the following week. There are no out-of-hours requirements.
General responsibilities include:
- Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
- Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
- Run and support nurse consultations, promoting preventative healthcare
- Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery
