Location: Hagerstown
Seeking a Swine Veterinarian based in Hagerstown, IN to lead Animal Health and Welfare activities across the Indiana region.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing health plans for sow, nursery, and finish sites, overseeing medication and vaccination programs, and monitoring animal health through direct observations.
Manage diagnostics, budgets, and forecasts; maintain pharmaceutical partnerships; and review SOPs for animal care.
Coordinate biosecurity efforts and provide
hands-on
training to the production team.
Participate in industry animal care groups and represent the company in related activities.
Qualifications include a DVM (or equivalent), with strong goal-setting, analytical,
problem-solving
, and process development skills.
Willingness to
travel approximately one week per month is required.
