Compensation:
$17.05 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Description:
Performs experienced paraprofessional work in organizing, supervising, and coordinating recreational programs and activities at a County recreational area or facility.
Requirements:
One (1) year of paid or volunteer experience in leisure activities. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Experience working with computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and Vermont Rec-Trac, is preferred.
Special Requirements
:
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during employment.
Disqualification if a Level I criminal background check reveals disqualifying convictions.
In case of emergencies like hurricanes or disasters, employee will be required to perform emergency duties.

Physical Activities / Traits:
The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 30 lbs.
In an eight-hour day, the employee may need to stand, walk, sit, and drive for 5-8 hours each.
Must perform fine manipulation, operate foot controls, pulling, pushing, and simple grasping.
Must be able to balance, bend, climb, crawl, dig, jump, kneel, reach, run, smell, and stoop.
Must have color perception, good distant and near vision, good hearing, and good speech.
Working Conditions:
Work at heights, in cold, damp, hot, humid, dusty, noisy, and hazardous environments, with chemicals, fumes, and other conditions.
Ability to climb ladders up to 15 feet.
