Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to our veterinary practice. Duties:
– Greet clients and pets in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment.
– Handle and care for animals in a safe and humane manner, including providing water and shelter.
– Assist with animal restraint and handling, ensuring the safety of both clients and staff.
– Support veterinary technicians and veterinarians with medical procedures, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams.
– Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and filing documents.
– Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including the waiting room and kennels.
– Provide administrative support, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing payments.
– Develop a strong understanding of animal anatomy and physiology to provide accurate information to clients.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in veterinary medicine and animal care.
– Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
– Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure seamless communication and exceptional patient care.
Experience:
– Experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is highly preferred.
– Experience with animal handling and restraint is essential.
– Experience with dog training or animal husbandry is desirable.
– Experience with veterinary critical care is an advantage.
– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– Experience with animal anatomy knowledge and animal care is required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
