Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Kennel Receptionist / Kennel Attendant. This cross-trained position plays a vital role in both client service and pet care, ensuring a smooth, safe, and welcoming experience for pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:
Greet clients and pets with professionalism and warmth
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries
Check pets in and out for boarding, daycare, or grooming
Maintain accurate records in our booking system
Process payments and manage daily cash
Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
Kennel Attendant Duties:
Feed, water, and monitor pets’ health and behavior
Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and play areas
Supervise playgroups
Administer medications as instructed
Ensure all animals are safe, clean, and comfortable
Assist with bathing as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in animal care, customer service, or veterinary settings preferred
Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 lbs
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
