To support our rapid execution and growing project pipeline, we are seeking a highly detailed, fast-paced, and results-driven Quantity Surveyor (Estimation & Costing) to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an agile and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in estimation, costing, and technical drawing interpretation. The successful candidate will serve as a key link between the Design, Sales, Projects, and Procurement teams, translating design concepts and technical drawings into accurate material take-offs, cost estimates, and client quotations within agreed timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Drawing Interpretation & Material Take-Offs: Rapidly review and analyze 3D renders, interior joinery details, architectural plans, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) schematics to extract complete material schedules and quantities.
- Rapid Quotation Generation: Prepare precise, fully itemized cost estimates and project quotations within tight turnaround times to support client approvals, sales conversion, and timely project execution.
- BOQ Preparation for Projects Team: Draft, audit, and finalize Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for project execution teams, ensuring complete scope coverage with zero missing hardware, finishes, or specs.
- Quotation & Scope Verification: Counter-check supplier, vendor, and subcontractor quotes against design drawings and procurement schedules to resolve scope discrepancies prior to contract sign-off.
- Cost Control & Value Engineering: Identify design-to-cost discrepancies early and propose cost-effective material or structural alternatives without compromising design quality.
- Site & Inventory Verification: Perform site visits during key milestones to audit delivered and installed materials against approved BOQs and specifications.
- Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with the Design, Sales, Projects, and Procurement teams and suppliers, to clarify project requirements, resolve technical and pricing queries, and ensure accurate quotations are prepared and submitted within agreed timelines.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Building Economics, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying and Cost Estimation, preferably in interior fit-out, luxury joinery, or construction.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience interpreting 3D renders, architectural plans, joinery details, and MEP drawings.
- Proven ability to deliver accurate and timely quotations, cost estimates, and material evaluations within tight deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools such as CostX, PlanSwift, or WinQS.
- Exceptional numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple quotation requests.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with site teams, clients, and senior management.
