About This Role
Telinno Consulting Limited—the leading West African telecommunications service provider specializing in cellular network rollout, fiber deployment, site civil engineering, and network performance management—is recruiting a Quality Officer for its operations in Abuja (FCT). This field-ready position focuses on conducting site quality audits, enforcing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards, managing snag-list resolutions, and processing client project acceptance documentation across telecom infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Quality & Acceptance Audits: Conduct pre-acceptance and final acceptance inspections across civil works, fiber deployments, tower structures, power systems, and telecom equipment installations.
- Documentation & Snag Management: Document, upload, and track non-conformances and snag items until full resolution; submit client-facing quality reports and acceptance logs on client management platforms.
- HSE Enforcement & Site Safety: Conduct daily toolbox talks, enforce PPE/safety compliance on site, perform HSE inductions, investigate near-misses/incidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Contractor & Process Monitoring: Oversee field contractor compliance against technical build specifications, approved engineering methods, and ISO quality guidelines.
- QHSE Reporting & Technical Support: Prepare periodic QHSE audit reports for Project Managers and senior leadership, assisting site teams through project commissioning and formal close-out.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Educational Background / Qualification:
- B.Sc. or HND in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering; OR
- Demonstrable field experience working on telecommunications infrastructure projects.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in site engineering, quality control (QA/QC), HSE management, or telecom project coordination.
- Technical Familiarity: Working knowledge of telecom site construction, fiber deployment, tower structures, or power installations.
- Certifications (Added Advantage): NEBOSH, ISPON, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor, or equivalent HSE/Quality credentials.
- Core Skills & Attributes: Strong technical report-writing abilities, proficiency in MS Office, high attention to documentation accuracy, physical fitness for regular field travel, and quick technical adaptability.
