Role Description The Quality Control Laboratory Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality control activities in the laboratory for surgical dressing products in an on-site role based in Kāmoki. This full-time position involves planning and supervising testing procedures, monitoring product quality, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include managing laboratory staff, coordinating sampling and testing of raw materials and finished goods, maintaining laboratory equipment, and reviewing analytical data and reports. The role also involves developing and updating quality control protocols, collaborating with production and quality assurance teams, and supporting investigations into non-conformances and corrective actions. The manager is expected to foster a culture of safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the laboratory environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills, including knowledge of standards and compliance requirements for medical or pharmaceutical products.
  • Candidates should possess solid Laboratory Skills and experience with Laboratory Equipment, including operation, calibration, and maintenance.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting test results, validating methods, and preparing clear, accurate documentation.
  • Candidates should possess strong communication and reporting skills, with attention to detail and proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Relevant academic qualification in Pharmacy (Pharm.D), with minimum 2 years of working experience at a Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices company in the field of Quality Control.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of safety practices in laboratory environments and familiarity with regulatory frameworks and audits.
