Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time Pet Groomer to join our team. This role will be 100% commission based with a 50% cut of the services. Days and hours will be roughly Mondays through Thursdays from approximately 8am to 12pm or 9am to 1pm. The ideal candidate will have training as a pet groomer. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering top-notch grooming services to our clients. This role requires both technical skills in grooming and excellent customer service abilities to create a positive experience for pet owners.
Responsibilities
Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment.
Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs, grooming options, and any observed health issues.
Collaborate with staff when necessary to address any reservation, client requests, and billing which may arise.
Skills
Pet grooming experience (professional or certified preferred)
Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively during grooming sessions.
Physical capability for heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment.
A genuine passion for pet care and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
