Job Description – Production Statistician
Job Purpose
To collect, analyze, and report production data to help management monitor performance, identify gaps, and make data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, verify, and maintain accurate production data.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, patterns, variances, and performance gaps.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Compare actual production against targets, budgets, forecasts, and previous performance.
- Investigate significant production variances and provide explanations.
- Develop simple dashboards and charts to present production performance.
- Provide recommendations to improve productivity, reduce wastage and downtime, and increase efficiency.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to ensure accurate reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in production data analysis, statistics, or a manufacturing environment.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
