Product Manager II | Durban, South Africa
A global information and technology organisation is seeking a Product Manager II to own product capabilities within an AI-powered legal technology portfolio and drive measurable customer and business outcomes across the full product lifecycle.
This role is ideal for an experienced product manager who enjoys working at the intersection of customer needs, AI, technology, analytics, and commercial strategy.
Key responsibilities:
- Own defined product capabilities from discovery through launch, adoption, and ongoing optimisation
- Engage directly with customers to understand unmet needs, validate problems, and identify opportunities
- Develop and prioritise product roadmaps based on customer insights, data, commercial impact, strategic priorities, and technical considerations
- Partner with engineering, design, data, and commercial teams to turn customer problems into valuable product solutions
- Define and monitor product success metrics and use analytics and experimentation to guide decisions
- Contribute to product strategy, business cases, product plans, and roadmap development
- Conduct customer, market, competitive, and commercial analysis to support product decisions
- Coordinate product launches and adoption initiatives with sales, marketing, customer success, and operational teams
- Communicate product priorities, decisions, trade-offs, and progress clearly to stakeholders across the organisation
- Help shape AI-powered research, drafting, workflow, and productivity solutions
- Identify opportunities to maximise the value of legal content within digital product experiences
What we’re looking for:
- 4–6 years of product management experience or a related role
- Experience owning product capabilities or features through discovery, launch, and optimisation
- Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable customer and business outcomes
- Experience developing product plans, business cases, requirements, and roadmap priorities
- Strong customer-centric, analytical, commercial, and organisational skills
- Experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders through effective communication and alignment
- Strong ability to use data and customer insights to make product decisions
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in legal technology, content, information services, or a related technology environment is advantageous
