Role Description The preschool teacher will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for young children, aligned with the school’s Islamic values and blended Cambridge–Montessori curriculum. This full-time, on-site role in Accra involves planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, facilitating play-based learning, and supporting each child’s social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive development. The teacher will observe and assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and colleagues about learner growth and needs. Daily responsibilities include preparing learning materials, managing classroom routines, promoting positive behavior, and fostering respect, empathy, and good character. The preschool teacher will collaborate with the wider school team to ensure inclusive practices, contribute to school events, and participate in professional development.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Early Childhood Education and Kindergarten teaching, with a clear understanding of developmental stages for young learners.
- Candidates should possess skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to design engaging, age-appropriate, and values-based learning experiences.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for interacting effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Relevant teaching qualification or diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field; a bachelor’s degree in Education is an advantage.
- Experience working in a pre-school or kindergarten setting, preferably within an international or Montessori-inspired environment.
- Ability to integrate Islamic values into daily teaching practice in a respectful, age-appropriate, and inclusive manner.
- Strong classroom management, patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting diverse learning needs.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate within a multicultural school community.
