Are you a seasoned Veterinary Nurse ready to step into leadership, or an experienced Practice Manager looking for your next challenge?
PETVET Lower Hutt has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Practice Manager to lead our talented team and support the continued success of our thriving clinic.
Our purpose-built 400m² facility provides both first opinion and referral services to the Wellington and Wairarapa regions. Equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities, including digital radiography, a spacious ultrasound suite, two sterile theatres and a non-sterile theatre, you’ll be leading a team committed to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.

What We’re Looking For

A confident and approachable people leader who can motivate, mentor and support team performance

Previous leadership or management experience within veterinary, healthcare or a customer-focused environment. Veterinary Nurse experience is ideal, but not essential

Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

A proactive approach to rostering, workflow management and team development
-
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, team members and suppliers
-
Commercial awareness and an interest in driving practice performance

A hands-on attitude with a willingness to support the team wherever needed
The Role Includes

Leading the day-to-day operations of the clinic

Managing rostering, administration, stock control and facility requirements

Supporting recruitment, onboarding and team development

Conducting team meetings, training initiatives and performance reviews

Driving engagement, wellbeing, health and safety initiatives

Working closely with leadership to achieve operational and financial goals

Fostering a culture focused on exceptional client and patient care
