As Pizzaiolo, you’ll work closely with our Head Chef and owners to refine recipes, uphold consistency, and lead the kitchen team in bringing warmth and excellence to every service.
Role Description
- Prepare and cook Neapolitan-style pizzas to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality in every pie
- Manage the dough-making process daily — fermentation, proofing, shaping — with care and precision
- Maintain and operate the wood-fired oven, controlling temperature and timing with confidence
- Collaborate on menu development, experimenting with toppings, ingredients, and seasonal specials
- Train and guide kitchen team members to uphold Peponi’s standards of quality and service
- Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and food safety at all times
- Monitor inventory, manage prep lists, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure freshness and efficiency
- Bring passion, curiosity, and pride to your craft — setting the tone for a kitchen built on teamwork and respect
Qualifications
- FAST HANDS and fun
- Proven experience as a Pizza Chef, Pizzaiolo, or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant
- Deep understanding of dough fermentation, ingredient balance, and wood-fired oven techniques
- A passion for simple, honest food made exceptionally well
- Strong attention to detail and consistency under pressure
- Leadership qualities and a collaborative spirit — you thrive in a team that shares ideas and energy
