Compensation
Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour for non-certified Pharmacy Technicians and $20.00 per hour for Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhT).
Starting pay may be higher based on relevant experience, certifications, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.

Build a Specialized Career in Veterinary Pharmacy
This is not a traditional retail pharmacy technician position.
Rather than spending your day behind a pharmacy counter assisting customers, you’ll work in a hands-on compounding laboratory preparing customized medications for veterinary patients. In this role, precision, cleanliness, teamwork, and quality are essential.
We’re looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Previous compounding experience is helpful but not required. If you bring the right attitude and aptitude, we’ll teach you the technical skills.
What Your Day Looks Like
- Learn veterinary compounding through a structured, hands-on training program
- Begin training in our non-sterile compounding department before advancing your skills
- Measure, mix, compound, package, and label customized medications with precision
- Prepare prescriptions for pharmacist review
- Maintain meticulous documentation and quality records
- Clean and sanitize laboratory equipment and workspaces to prevent contamination
- Monitor inventory and organize supplies
- Follow USP standards and state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists and fellow technicians to produce safe, high-quality medications
- Take initiative to keep the pharmacy organized and running efficiently during slower periods

Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on role. Candidates should be comfortable:
- Standing for extended periods throughout the workday
- Performing repetitive production tasks
- Frequently lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Working in a laboratory/production environment
- Maintaining a clean, organized workspace throughout the day
Qualifications
Required
- Active Kentucky Pharmacy Technician Registration (or ability to obtain before hire)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable learning new technology
Preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Sterile and/or non-sterile compounding experience
- Veterinary pharmacy experience
- Hospital, specialty, or independent pharmacy experience
Paid Training & Development

- Structured onboarding and mentorship

- Typical progression within 30–60 days
- Full training expected within approximately 90 days
