Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for preparing and compounding medications, ensuring proper dispensing of prescriptions, and maintaining accurate pharmacy records. The role includes working closely with the pharmacy team to verify prescriptions, advising on medication usage, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The Pharmaceutical Technologist will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and efficient pharmaceutical operations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Compounding and the preparation of medicines
- Proficiency in Pharmacy operations, including the accurate dispensing of prescriptions
- Strong Communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork
- Knowledge of Medicine, including its proper storage, handling, and administration
- Ability to ensure attention to detail and adherence to medical guidelines
- A Diploma or higher in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
- Licensure and current registration with the relevant regulatory authority in Kenya
- Previous experience in a community or hospital pharmacy setting is an advantage
- Commitment to staying updated on industry advancements and regulations
