Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmaceutical Technologist role based in Nairobi, Kiambu and Muranga Counties. The Pharmaceutical Technologist will prepare and compound medications according to established prescriptions and regulatory standards, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality. The role involves supporting pharmacy operations, including dispensing medicine, maintaining stock levels, and handling documentation and labeling. The individual will provide clear information to clients and colleagues on medicine use, dosage, and possible side effects. The position also includes collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, adhering to standard operating procedures, and contributing to a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong technical skills in Pharmacy, including understanding of pharmaceutical processes and regulatory standards.
  • Candidates should possess practical skills in Compounding and preparing medications in line with prescriptions and safety guidelines.
  • Candidates should possess skills in handling Prescription information accurately and verifying details before dispensing.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Medicine, including dosage forms, indications, contraindications, and storage requirements.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Diploma or degree in Pharmacy Technology or a related pharmaceutical field from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration or licensing with the relevant pharmacy or pharmaceutical regulatory body, where applicable.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
  • Ability to work on-site in Thika and Kimbo-Ruiru and collaborate in a fast-paced healthcare or pharmacy environment.
