We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team and help develop grooming business. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while providing exceptional grooming services. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and deliver high-quality care in a safe and friendly environment.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any potential issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming tools and workstations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs and aftercare.
- Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide the best care possible.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming or a related field is required.
- Skills in animal handling, including dog handling and general pet care, are essential.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or as a veterinary technician is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to engage positively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or equipment.
- Experience with equine care is beneficial.
