Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing high-quality support for pets in various settings. This role involves ensuring the well-being of animals, assisting with their daily needs, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
Administer medications as directed by veterinary professionals.
Assist with heavy lifting and handling of animals during care routines.
Maintain cleanliness in animal living areas, ensuring a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or supervisors.
Engage in pet sitting duties when required, ensuring pets receive attention and companionship.
Handle dogs of various breeds with care and confidence during walks or playtime.
Support veterinary technicians or assistants with basic animal handling tasks as needed.
Participate in pet grooming activities to maintain the hygiene and appearance of animals.
Qualifications
Experience in animal care or related fields such as pet sitting, dog handling, or veterinary assistance is preferred.
Knowledge of basic animal health care practices is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks associated with animal care.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members.
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential.
Certification or training in veterinary technology or animal handling is advantageous but not required.
