About us
We are a small team of caring and professional pet sitters and dog walkers. We LOVE ANIMALS and we treat our clients’ pets like they are our own! Our goal is to provide exceptional and professional pet care services. We are insured, bonded, trained and certified. Our IN-CLIENT-HOME services include dog walking and pet sitting for cats, dogs, birds and small caged animals and reptiles. At our KENNEL, we board dogs and focus on 1-on-1 human companionship with them … no group play!
Job Details
We are a 7 days per week and 365 days per year business which includes weekends and holidays. All team members are expected to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.
We provide services to our clients primarily between the hours of 7am and 10pm.
Our work environment includes:
Paid on-the-job training
Formal training specific to pets and pet care
Flexible working hours
We have operating standards in how visits are to be performed and team members are expected to follow specific procedures and rules.
Candidates are required to provide their estimated availability during the screening process.
Visit volume varies therefore available sittings will fluctuate. Schedules will be different day to day.
Pay is provided weekly for work performed using an hourly pay rate. Hourly pay rates vary between $12-18 for training, trainee/probationary periods and fully trained staff.
Additional pay provided for in-client-home visits on weekends and holidays. Tips for in-client-home visits are distributed among the team based on visits performed for that time period.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Properly and safely playing with pets.
Feeding as required and providing fresh water.
Picking up waste and cleaning/scooping litter boxes.
Cleaning up pet areas and any messes that may occur while pet parents are away.
Walking dogs
Complying with leash and collar/harness requirements.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot safety concerns, illnesses and injuries.
Administer medications if needed.
Respect pet parents’ homes and property.
Communicate with your manager and with pet parents via our pet sitting app.
Candidates must have the following minimum qualifications:
Reliable, responsible, responsive and flexible.
A personal cell phone is required to use our system software for visit updates and to track your time worked.
Self-starter and able to work independently but also as a team.
Physically capable to walk dogs in all types of weather (within our safety guidelines)
Reliable transportation
Available to work some evenings, weekends and holidays
Organized and task focused
Strong work ethic and high integrity
Clear background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
