Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and experienced Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to become a part-time faculty member for our Veterinary Technology programThis position reports directly to the Veterinary Technology Program Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to light teaching expectations, the following responsibilities are present for this role.
Active participation in the program advisory board. This includes regular attendance to advisory board meetings, responsiveness to email communications, and sharing of ideas/recommndations as needed.
Regular participation in department meetings.
Regular participation in department extra-curricular activities as needed (field trips, weekend nail trim clinics, etc.)
Provide guest lecture services in the classroom as needed.
Respond to professional outreach in a prompt manner and report any issues to the Program Director for immediate attention.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) is required.
Active DVM license in the state of Kentucky or the ability to become licensed in the state is required.
Minimum of three (3) years of occupational work experience in the field of veterinary medicine is required.
Small and Large animal experience preferred.
Teaching experience preferred
Strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, and other computer skills
